Paddle Canada Waterfront Canoe Instructor
This course is a nationally recognized instructor program start-up for teaching canoeing. It focusses on teaching the more technical skills of water front paddling, both solo and tandem. Teaching, rescues, and paddle skills are evaluated.

Paddle Canada Intro to Moving Water Instructor – Tandem
This nationally recognized certification certifies instructor to teach tandem canoeing on Class I rivers. Candidates must be able to perform tandem maneuvers, such as, eddy turns, ferries and rescues on class I rivers, from both the bow and stern. Swiftwater Rescue
River travel is inherently dangerous. Each paddler should have the knowledge and skills to respond to rescue situations.
Many paddlers spend years developing their paddling techniques; however, few take the time to build their river rescue skills.
We cover:
Safety, Equipment, Throwbag use, Swimming a rapid, Strong swimmer rescue, Tag line rescue, Foot entrapment, Releasing trapped boats. Certification is offered through Canoe Kayak Canada. The course fee includes a manual, instruction and group equipment. Participants are responsible for all their personal equipment. We recommend a wetsuit/dry top combination or a drysuit for the duration of the course as you will be spending lot’s of time in the water.

Canoe Rescue
The aim of this program is to provide a workshop format for canoeists to learn, develop and most of all practice commonly used river rescue skills. We will be approaching these skills from three typical rescue settings: on shore, in boat, and in the water. This course is for both tandem and solo canoeists. First session is on flatwater and the second will be on a class I river.
